Not like mother...

Here's me at 2 months. I don't see Cate in my chubby face!! Look at the size of those cheeks!! :O

Like father, like daughter?

I found this picture of Rick from his first Christmas. He would have been about as old as Cate is now. I definitely see similarities!!

10 weeks

So since we've been posting all of these adorable pictures of Cate, no one seems to believe us when we complain about her crying and fussing. Granted, it is getting better, but she can still be a real pistol! Rick snapped this shot after she had been fed, burped, changed, and played with. I think this says it all. What more did she want???

Do they look alike? I think maybe they do!

Too big ya think??

We bought this "0-12 mo." snowsuit for Cate before she was born, thinking she'd need something nice and warm for winter. We ended up buying a "BundleMe" for her carseat, so we hadn't tried this on yet. Today I had a bad case of cabin fever, and it was sunny and in the 40's, so I decided to take her on a long walk in the stroller and figured it would be a good time to try out the snowsuit. Needless to say, I think this is more for the 12 mo. than the 0 mo.!! I laughed so hard when I got it on her, I had to take a picture. I tried sitting her in the carseat (which goes into the stroller), and she nearly disappeard down inside of it. We did end up taking a long walk, but she had to wear something different!

EASTER

Today was Cate's first Easter. She had a visit from the Easter bunny. After all that fun we went to church and she actually behaved this time. She loves the basket her Aunt Chrissy sent her and all the clothes from her Grandpa and Nana.

Nine weeks (we're entering Month 3)

It got up in the low 50's yesterday, so I took Cate out for a walk in the Bjorn. This is her hanging off my chest after we got home. She was just waking up! I can't wait until the weather gets better. We'll be walking everywhere!!!

It's hard to believe we've made it to nine weeks. Everyone keeps saying the first three months are the hardest, so I find it encouraging that we have started the third month. I'm hoping by 12 weeks her crying will be less often. It's so frustrating when we don't know why she's crying, and she can't seem to entertain herself for longer than 5 or 10 minutes at a time. Sometimes I think I should just have her surgically attached to my hip. It might make life easier. But luckily, she is smiling more, and I think she tries to laugh (probably at us and our parental ignorance!).

Cate playing

Cate had a good grip on her toy and seemed to be enjoying herself.

Cate is Eight video

I took this little video of Cate on the morning of her 8 week birthday. She's always very happy in the morning (doesn't get that from her mommy!!!) :)

Cate is Eight (weeks old, that is)

Hard to believe Cate is eight weeks old already and entering her third month of life. I'm hoping the end of this month might bring happier times and a less cranky baby. It is getting better, but each day is still a challenge!! Good thing she is so cute! :)

Just showing off my pretty new sweater that Gramma sent me to wear over my cute short-sleeved bodysuits!

Here are some more pics of Cate. We had a rare occasion that there was no crying, so we jumped on it. In the first picture she is riding her rocking moose and in the others she is just hanging out.
